The Kaiyapó are also called "Mebêngôkre" that means " the men of the waterhole". Their indigenous land is located at south of Pará and north of Mato Grosso states in Brazil. Their drawing and graphism are usually inspired by the local wildlife, like jaboti shell, snake skin, tracajá shell, tree barks, gourds, footprints and animal traces.They have diverse importance, being used for initiation and nomination rituals, women celebrations, fulnerals, combat preparation, fishing and other incursions to the forest.
